Frank Coughlin, the first actor to portray Billy Batson in 1941, made a cameo appearance on the SHAZAM! TV series in 1974! Now remastered to 4K and 60fps, fresh from the Tales From SYL Ranch DARKROOM!
This cameo was a seriously missed opportunity. I'd've written an episode with Coughlin playing a major guest star. Given the 1974 show's target audience of children, and emphasis on easily-digestible moral messages, such a script would have been easy.
There was a badly-needed scene. In the 1974 series, a few people saw Billy transform to Captain Marvel and were sworn to secrecy. It would have been nice had Coughlin's character seen it, smiled knowingly, and said:
"Don't worry, Captain Marvel. I know how to keep a secret."
